Fantastic steak, I had the sirloin, med rare, and my friends had the NY Strip, med well, and even they said how good my steak looked. Great flavor, The German fries were very good, sliced potatoes boiled then fried. The decor is neighborhood restaurant, a place where friends and locals gather for great food. Will definitely go again.

Like stepping back in time. Steaks broiled in butter. The brightly lit and sparsely decorated dining room adds to the experience. But, like Peter Luger, it is more utilitarian than decadent.

2/26/2009The food was awful, potatoes, onion rings were cold~cold plates~the steaks were cold~it was the worse meal we ever had~We had a filet, the bacon wasn't cooked, a steak for 2~ the filet side of the porterhouse was maybe 1", grizzle porterhouse side.OH ! Then this guy comes to offer to take the food back to the kitchen to warm our steaks~no way~then he tells us well at least let us give you a free desert~WHY? U already messed up our night.

Dripping with culture and history... a true "Man's Steak House".

Still one of the best steakhouses in New Orleans. The original place for the "sizzeling steaks".
